Biography

On 28th May 1945, in London, Staff Sergeant Peter Boyne Thomson of Australian Imperial Force, eldest son of Mr & Mrs Aubrey Thomson (of Brisbane, Australia), in 1945 married Ann Drage (youngest daughter of Sir Benjamin of Grosvenor House, London), within the next year the couple had the birth of their 1st child daughter Jennifer (1946) in Brisbane, 2 years later twin boys David & Brian (1948).[1]

Born 1918 in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1939 he was a Bank Officer living at Collins street, Clayfield, Brisbane, Australia and described as Height 5ft, 11inches, Eyes Brown, Complexion Medium, Hair Brown in 1939, when he join AIF (Australian Imperial Force), he spent 2216 days (46 Days Australia & 1975 Overseas days) of service in the AIF, during which time he was identified as 'Killed in Action', then amended to 'Missing in Action, to finally 'Prisoner of War'[2]
