Biography
Catherine Thomson was born in Williamstown in 1875. Catherine is the child of James Thomson and Mary Hayes. [1]
Her mother died when she was 9 years old. She had two younger siblings James and Mary Ellen.
Catherine Thomson married Alf Johnson in 1896 and had two sons Eric and Leonard who died aged 1 year in 1907 and a daughter Olive.

JOHNSON.— On July 12, at Epworth Hospital. Catherine Jane Johnson, of "Bona Vista." 13 Ballarat-road, Footscray. the dearly beloved wife of the late Alfred, and loved mother of , Olive (Mrs, J. Cole), Eric and Leonard (deceased), aged 63 years. Mother and father reunited.[3]
