WEDDING REPORT. Thomson-Scott. THE marriage was solemnised at St. Paul's Church, Bridgetown, on Wednesday evening of last week between Mr. Fred Thomson and Miss Jean Scott, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott, of Winiyup, Bridgetown. The Rev. W. B. Davis performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of deep cream satin with long tight-fitting sleeves and train falling from the waist. The corsage was draped and high at the neck in front. Her misty tulle veil was arranged well back on the head, and was held in place by a miniature spray of orange blossom. A sheaf of white gladioli completed her graceful toilette.
Misses Jessie Thomson, Hazel Armstrong, and Ione Wheatley were bridesmaids. Their frocks of blue perle crepe were fashioned on classical lines with long trains. The draped neck line was finished with a spray of silver flowers, and silver flowers were worn halo fashion in the hair. They carried sheafs of gladioli in rich autumn tonings. Mr. Dodd was best man, and Messrs. Malcolm Scott and Hugh Thomson were groomsmen.
After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott held a reception at the Bridgetown Hall. Mrs. Scott wore a smart gown of rust-brown marocain, and was assisted in receiving the guests by Mr. [and Mrs. Thomson. Mrs. Thomson] wore a frock of deep cream satin an ensemble of blue and black crepe ninon.
The wedding breakfast was set on long tables, decorated with colourful dahlias and zinnias. The usual toasts were honoured, and many congratulatory telegrams were read by the best man. Later in the evening the hall was cleared for dancing. Many charming presents were received by the popular young couple.
The bride and bridegroom left by motor car during the evening for their honeymoon. The bride wore a simple navy-blue toilette. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thomson will make their home in the Carnarvon district.
