DEATH NOTICE. THOMSON.-On Friday, May 5, at Perth, Vernon Scott (Dick) Thomson, dearly-beloved youngest son of the late James Guy Thomson and Mary E. Noyes, aged 23.

FUNERAL NOTICE. THOMSON.-The Friends of the late Mr. Vernon Scott Thomson, youngest son of the late James Guy Thomson, are respectfully invited to follow his remains to the place of interment, the Anglican Cemetery, Karrakatta. The Funeral is appointed to leave his late residence, Harold-street, Mount Lawley. at 2.30 o'clock TO-MORROW (Sunday) AFTER NOON, per road. Friends wishing to attend the Funeral may proceed by the 3.30 train leaving Perth.

OBITUARY. MR. V. S. THOMSON. The funeral of Mr. Vernon Scott Thomson, youngest son of the late Mr. J. Guy Thomson and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Noyes, of Brookhampton, Southern Districts, took place on Sunday afternoon, and was very largely attended.

The deceased had adopted the profession of a pharmaceutical chemist. He served his apprenticeship with Mr. H. C. Armstrong. M.P.S.A., of Hay street, Perth, and gave every promise of a brilliant and successful career.

Recently he contracted typhoid fever, and died at the early age of 22 years. The cortege started from his late residence, Harold-street, Highgate Hill, and proceeded to the Church of England Cemetery, Karrakatta, where the remains were interred. The Rev. W. Everingham officiated at the grave.

The pall-bearers were Messrs. W. F. Sarell, G. B. Butler, F. H. Neale. S. J. Phillips, and E. Ferguson. The chief mourners were Messrs. F. S. Brockman, W. Walter, H. C. Armstrong, and H. C. Castilla. Many wreaths and floral tributes were sent. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Bowra and O'Dea.
