Please update the last name at birth on the profile you manage, Elizabeth (UNKNOWN) Ireland (abt.1705-1780), to Souch in line with the bio

Could you please take a look at Canthorne-1 for wehom you are PM.

This profile has a transcirption error copied into her last name at birth.

Could you please change her LNAB to Cawthorne as per her baptism record, or add me as manager to her trusted list and I'll take care of it.

Thanks

Welcome! We are glad you are here!  Please let Kitty Smith know if you are interested in joining our DNA Project or our FTDNA Project.

If you have not done so, set your Followed preferences to include DNA.

It's not hard to add DNA test information to profiles on WikiTree, just make sure you add the tests to the actual test participant's profile & set the Privacy to ‘private w/ public biography & family tree’ to show the tester's part of our tree. For help see  How to DNA on WikiTree

We also encourage you to join our Google+ Community for DNA discussions, questions & new information.

Hi Keith

It will be fine to go ahead with the merge of Hugh Hamilton. I see Archibald will also need merging and other siblings of Hugh. I'll let you go ahead as you seem to know what you are doing. Coralie Smith

Hey Keith,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards.

If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles.

If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.

A project of note is the Global Family Reunion check it out at Global Family Reunion.

Questions? Ask via my profile page. Mags

Whatever works best for you, Keith. When I first uploaded my tree here, It kept me busy ( I had to check all my notes that got imported but that depends on the settings of your software).

Now I find it easier just to research in one browser, enter the profile in another browser one by one as I work on my new additions. Then about once every six months, I download a gedcom from here to my desktop. That's my method but I do not have a big tree.

Good luck !

Hi,I think the mission and 9 rules are great.I've had enough of paying a year in advance for information which is often wrong or has no source. One of your members helped me yesterday, and I'm happy to help others with the genuine information I have found over the last 25 years.

Keith , I noticed you plan to or already uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to instructions on the step-by-step gedcom import at WikiTree , including screenshots that you might find helpful. You might also want to check out our gedom instructions

Please keep in mind that our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Thank you for taking the time to go through your gedmatches.

TIP: if your ancestor was born over two hundred years ago, there's a very good chance she/he already has a profile on wikitree.
