Biography
Samuel Threatt is a part of US Black heritage.
Samuel Sanford Threatt was born about 1894 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, United States, son of Anderson Threatt (1855–1943) and Elizabeth Robinson (1858–1932).[1]
In 1900, Samuel was living in Old Store, Chesterfield, South Carolina. [1]
In 1910, Samuel was living in Oldstore, Chesterfield, USA. [2]
In 1920, Samuel was living in Old Store, Chesterfield. [3]
His son was John Jasper Threatt (1929–1974).
In 1930, Samuel was living in Roberson Ford Road, Buford, Lancaster, South Carolina. [4]
In 1940, Samuel was living in Buford. [5]
Samuel died on December 17, 1965 in Columbia, Richland, South Carolina, aged about 70.[6]
Obituary
Sanford's obituary appeared in the Columbia Record, on December 20, 1965.[7] Survivors named were: his widow, Alberta; daughters Ethel T. Abney, Ruth T. Blackmon, and Odessa T. Devoe; sons John J., Thomas B, and David S. Also survived by a brother, Baxter and 21 grandchildren. He was interred at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
