Pelona was born in 1843. She was the daughter of Benjamin Thrower and Elizabeth Dial. She passed away in 1935. Pelona Antoinette Thrower's parents were: Benjamin Thomas Thrower and Elizabeth (Dial) Thrower who are also buried at Oakland Cemetery (Sec. 1, Lot 41, Gr. 1 & 2) as well as other family members. Her parents owned a large farm in Newton County, GA between Conyers and Covington. She died at 91 years, almost 5 months. She is buried beside her husband, Ernst Emil Schenck. They had at least 10 children; five infants are buried near their graves.
