John Buckner Thruston , known as Buckner, was born in Gloucester County, Virginia in 1763.[2] He was the son of Charles Thruston and Mary Buckner. His mother passing away sadly, when he was small.[3]
Buckner Thruston gave a detailed first-hand account of his life in a letter published in the William and Mary Quarterly.[4]
Professional Career:
He passed away in Washington, District of Columbia, USA in 1845.[6][7]

Thruston deeded 15,000 acres of land lying in the angle of Rough creek and Greene river to sons John Thruston, John Buckner Thruston, & Charles Thruston. Eldest John Thruston described and bequeathed 500 acres of his 1/3 to dau. Mary B. January in his will dated 15 Jan 1802.
