Biography

Died of a disease contracted in the Civil War. Served in the 2nd NH Regiment. He was a Baptist.

John Osborne Thurston 8 (Nathaniel Kimball, 7 Daniel, 6 Nathaniel, 5 Daniel, 4 Benjamin, 3 Daniel, 2 Daniel, 1) eldest child of Nathaniel Kimball and Sarah Ann (York) Thurston of Brentwood, N. H. ; born there April 19, 1833; married, Aug. 27, 1856, Lydia Amanda Dame of Methuen, Mass., born Aug. 27, 1838. He died Nov. 11, 1876, and she married, second, March 26, 1883, Joseph Benjamin Conners, who served in the 2d N. H. regiment, and died soon after marriage, in Lowell, Mass. Mr. Thurston was a shoemaker in Methuen, served three years in the war against the rebellion in the 2d N. H. regiment, where' he contracted a disease which caused his death ; a Christian Baptist in religion. His widow resides in Haverhill.

      5161 Mary Helena,10 b. July 8, 1881.
5162 Sylvanus Kimball,9 b. Dec. 25, 1863; m., March 5, 1881, Rosella Hewett of
              Raynham, Mass., b. April 11, 1865; he was a shoemaker and member of
              the Baptist church. They have :
        5163 Lester Osborne,10 b. Jan. 18, 1SS5.
5164 Clara, 9 b. Aug. 2, d. Aug. 9, 1869.
5165 Samira Ellen,9 b. Sept. 10, 1870.
5166 John Osborne,9 b. July 21, d. Nov. 11, 1872.
5167 Lydia Frances,9 b. Nov. 1, 1875.
