Charles Pleamon Thurston, son of Oliver Thurston (1800-1877) and Rebecca Ann (Harriman) Thurston (1805-1902), was born on 18 May 1844 at Eaton Center, Carroll County, New Hampshire, USA.[1]
He had nine siblings, namely: Sarah Ann, Daniel Hobbs, Benjamin Moses, Elizabeth Ann, Thomas Hobbs, Abigail, Cyrus, Mary Jane, and Oliver Franklin.

On 04 Dec 1892, his mother & siblings quitclaimed the family homestead in Eaton to Charles P.

and he sold the property to Mercy B. Hoyt of Brooklyn, New York a year later.

He subsequently moved to the nearby town of Conway.
When he was 49, he married Viola D Hawkins on 29 Nov 1893 in North Conway, Carroll, New Hampshire, USA.

They divorced in 1915.

When he was 73, he married Sarah Ann “Mary” Durling, daughter of Joseph Durling and Levina Marshall, on 02 Jun 1917 in Conway, Carroll, New Hampshire, USA.

No record of their divorce has been found but she is not living with Charles in the 1920 census and his marital status is listed as "Divorced".

Charles died on 29 May 1920 at Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire

and was buried at Eaton Center Cemetery, Eaton Center, Carroll County, New Hampshire. His memorial has a photo of his headstone, biographical material and links to those of family members.[1]
His estate was probated on 23 Jun 1920 in Carroll, New Hampshire, USA and he willed all property to brother, Frank Thurston, who was living with him at the time.
