Abigail Thurston-Chase was the daughter of Daniel and Anne (Pell) Thurston and was born in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts on March 17, 1788,. She married Joseph Chase, born March 25, 1677, son of Aquila and Esther (Bond) Chase of Newbury, Essex County, and ancestor of Hon. Salmon P. Chase, former Secretary of the United States Treasury and Chief Justice of the United States. They moved to Littleton, Middlesex County about 1726, and it is thought they died there.
