Absolutely fascinating details of their lives compiled from their letters which Adam accessed.

Marriage was at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England, without his parent's consent! Thomas came from Oxford and their married Maria, they had one night before he returned to Oxford and she to the Court in Westminster.
