Tibbetts-572 and Tibbetts-36 appear to represent the same person because: same name, dates, parents, wife
Tibbitts-54 and Tibbetts-36 appear to represent the same person because: Lets Merge into Tibbetts, which is the spelling used by the Mayflower Society.

Birth is not listed in Arnolds RI Vital Records

It is probably not possible to determine the "correct" surname spelling because spelling back then was not standardized. I've seen a name spelled two different ways in the same document (not this name). As for the date, Anne is probably right, though some men did marry quite late and others had an earlier marriage we have no record of.

John Tibbitts (Tibbitts-54) and John Tibbetts (Tibbetts-36) are set as unmerged match. Correct spelling of last name at birth need to be determined, and they need to be merged. The Mayflower society's birth of 1682, makes more sense than 1668, since his 1st marriage was 1705.
