Lela (Tidwell) Zuber was born in Appalachia, in Alabama.

Lela Tidwell was born September 10, 1894 to John Tidwell and Mary Reeves in Chambers County, Alabama.

She married John Phillips on October 17, 1915 in Cherokee County, Alabama.^[1] Their children were:

1. Corbet Phillips^[2]
2. Fay Phillips^[3]
3. Edna Phillips^[4]

She married Joseph Edward Zuber before the 1930 United States Census. ^[5]

She died, at the age of 74, on January 8, 1969 in Centre, Alabama.^[6] She is buried at the Unity Cemetery, Hurley, Cherokee County, Alabama.^[7]
