Biography
Joseph Arthur Tift was born on 1 June 1913 at 11 Union Street in Banbury in Oxfordshire. He was the son of John George Tift and his wife Alice, born Alice Julia Knibb. [1] [2] [3] Arthur Joseph, son of John George and Alice Julia Tift, of 11 Union Street, was baptised at Banbury parish church on 19 June 1913. His father was a blacksmith. [4]
Joseph married in July 1955 in Coventry, Warwickshire. [5]
