Biography

Mary Tillman, the daughter of Roger Tillman was born about 1762 in Virginia. She had two siblings: Molly Tillman and Henry Tillman. ^[1]

Research Notes

It is uncertain who the mother of Mary and her sister is. In the referenced book by Major Stephen F.Tillman: The record and genealogy of the (Tilghman-Tillman-Tilman-Tilmon) family, 1225-1938 the author writes that "Roger Tillman married twice. First to Rebecca Taylor and second to Martha Turner. The dates of said marriages are unknown. Henry, however, names his mother as Rebecca Taylor in his will.
