Sir Philip Tilney was a member of the Commissions of the Peace for the counties of both Suffolk and Norfolk named in State Papers from 1 March 1515/6 (6 Henry VIII). [1]
The Visitation of Suffolk details Philip's three wives and the children he had by them although it does not provide dates: [2]
Margaret, daughter of ... Brewes of Wenham, Suffolk
Thomas son and heir
Philip
Jone (Joan) daughter of Thomas Tey of Layer de la Hay, Essex
Edmond
Elizabeth daughter of ... Jeffrey of Stansfield, Suffolk and Elizabeth Glenham, daughter of John Glenham and Ellenor Brandon.
Katherin married to ... Baker
Elizabeth married to Peter Clarke
Anne married to John Hubbert of Norfolk. (In her father's will of December 1532 she is named as Agnes).
Philip wrote his will on 8 December "in the xiiij yere ... of Kynge Henrye xiij th" (1532) and the will was proved by his widow Elizabeth on 8 October 1533 ("octavo die mens octobris Anno Dm millimo quingentesimo trecesimo tercio") [3]
A transcription of the will has been made by Nina Green for the Oxford Shakespeare website. [4] The paper also analyses the relationships between the persons mentioned in the will. It gives an (unsourced) death date of 8 January 1532/3.
Research note
Philip was knighted on 14 November 1501 on the occasion of the marriage of Prince Arthur to Catherine of Aragon. [5]

Hello Andrew, I am sure that this Philip is Sir Philip Tilney/Tylney of Shelley, Suffolk Visitations of Suffolk in which case the death date of 1533 is the same as his PCC will. His daughter Ann (Agnes in his will) married John Hobart/ Hubberd of Thwaite in Norfolk as per the Visitations. He is Hobart-300 and I am working on this Hobart family at present. Also see BHO Manor of Somerton, Thwaite.
RJ edited the death date after my comment below. :) Don't take my profile management too seriously as I sometimes just pick up orphans until someone else wants them, especially in the time before pre-1500 certification got serious. Please feel free to improve. The Tilneys are complicated but I reckon we can compile a better picture of them. Lots of us descend from them too.
