Biography

Elizabeth Timm was born at Posen in about 1781, the daughter of Jacob Timm. She was married at Grabau, Posen in 1802 to Johannes Vandrei.

Research Notes

Warren Fandrey writes: "The first Fandrey found in the records of the Church of the Latter Day Saints for the area in and around the District of Wirsitz, which is the area east of Bromberg (Bydgoszcz) and west of Schniedermule (Pila), was that of Christophori Wandrey."

According to these records, Christophori was born around 1701 in Bialosliwe, also known as Weibenhole, and around 1727 he married a woman named Anna, last name unknown. Christophori and Anna had five children that Warren could find "in the IGI of the church records" (I don't know what that means Sandve-4 15:42, 16 February 2022 (UTC)): Michael, Andreas, Stephan, Christian, and Daniel.

Stephan Vandrei married Anna Catharina (last name unknown) and they had two children, Johann and Eva.

Johann married Elizabeth Timm on 3 January 1802 in Bialosliwe.

"This can be verified by church records from the town of Grabau. The film # 0245524. Grabau is the location of the Lutheran Church as Bialosliwe did not have a church at that time."

"Johann is the first direct ancestor that can be verified by documentation.

"Johann and Elizabeth Timm had nine children. One of them, Christian Fandrei, was born 30 December 1803 in Bialosliwe. He married Rosina Fenske 9 July 1832. Christian and Rosina had ten children. The eight child, Julius Fandrey, was born 25 April 1847 in Bialosliwe. Julius immigrated to America in 1871...."

"The church records of the births and deaths of these Fandreys and passenger record of Julius are incorporated in the Fandrey History as compiled by the author."
