Biography

Isaac Tinckum, son of Ephraim Tinckum, was born the last of June 1685, in Middleborough.^[1][2][3]

Isaac's mother, wife of Ephraim Tinkham, was Hester (Wright) Tinkham (1649-1717).^[1] Ephraim's will was dated 17 September 1714 and proved on 3 March 1714/15 in Plymouth. He mentioned his wife Esther, sons, John (eldest), Isaac, Samuel, and the children of his deceased son Ephraim, and his daughters, Martha Soul, and Mary Tinkham.^[4]

Isaac is a descendant of Mayflower passengers Peter Browne and Francis Cooke^[1]

He married Abijah Wood on December 12, 1717 in Middleborough.^[5]

Probate

Isaac died intestate and on 9 May 1750, his son Isaac Tinkham of Halifax was granted the administration of his estate.^[6]

His inventory was taken on 22 June 1750 in Halifax.^[7]

In 1750, Abijah, for consideration, quitclaimed her share of her late husband's estate.^[8]

In 1759, an account of his estate was recorded which included debts paid, and administration fees.^[9]
