Biography

Isaac Tinckum, son of Ephraim Tinckum, was born the last of June 1685, in Middleborough.[1][2][3]

Isaac's mother, wife of Ephraim Tinkham, was Hester (Wright) Tinkham (1649-1717).[1] Ephraim's will was dated 17 September 1714 and proved on 3 March 1714/15 in Plymouth. He mentioned his wife Esther, sons, John (eldest), Isaac, Samuel, and the children of his deceased son Ephraim, and his daughters, Martha Soul, and Mary Tinkham.[4]

Isaac is a descendant of Mayflower passengers Peter Browne and Francis Cooke[1]

He married Abijah Wood on December 12, 1717 in Middleborough.[5]

Together they had 6 children:

  1. Abijah Tinkham
  2. Ephraim Tinkham
  3. Isaac Tinkham
  4. Moses Tinkham
  5. Nathan Tinkham
  6. Noah Tinkham

He died on April 07, 1750 in Halifax, Plymouth, Province of Massachusetts Bay

Dea. Isaac Tinkham is buried at Tomson Cemetery, Halifax, Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Probate

Isaac died intestate and on 9 May 1750, his son Isaac Tinkham of Halifax was granted the administration of his estate.[6]

His inventory was taken on 22 June 1750 in Halifax.[7]

In 1750, Abijah, for consideration, quitclaimed her share of her late husband's estate.[8]

In 1759, an account of his estate was recorded which included debts paid, and administration fees.[9]
