James was born in 1916. He was the son of Thomas Tipton and Myrtle Emanuel. In 1930, the family was living in Bainbridge, Decatur Coutny, Georgia.[1]
He passed away in 1994.[2][3] Burial was in the Oak City Cemetery, Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.[4] He lies near his parents, grandparents, and other family members. His marker is inscribed: M SGT US ARMY Air Corps World War II.[5]
