Reuben TIPTON was born 13 June 1839 in Yancy County, North Carolina and died 12 January 1921 in Vernonia, Columbia County, Oregon. He was the son of John Canada TIPTON and Mary Lucinda "Polly" HONEYCUT.

He was married on 18 October 1860 in Rowan County, Kentucky to Dorcas HALL.

Dorcas HALL was born about 29 June 1842 in Floyd County, Kentucky^[1] and died 24 January 1919 in Vernonia, Columbia County, Oregon.^[2] She was the daughter of Elijah Smith HALL and Margaret Morning CLARK.^[3]
