Biography

According to Calnek (1897)[1] he was:

a grantee in Digby township, and by profession a medical doctor. His descendants settled in the town of Annapolis. Two of these, his sons — Timothy and Dwight Tobias — were for many years residents there. The former was for several years Collector of Customs for the port, and died there without issue ; the latter died several years ago, leaving a large family, most of the members of which still live there.

Note: This seems to be in error. Timothy and Dwight appear in the next generation, sons of Jacob Tobias.
