Biography

Giovanna Todaro is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Antonino and Caterina Todaro. I estimate she is born around 1687, twenty years before she marries.

Giovanna marries Giovanni Ligotino on 18 September 1707. Her parents have died by this time.^[1]

Giovanna and Giovanni have at least three children: Angelo (c. 1708), Antonino (c. 1722), and Onofrio (c. 1728).

I estimate Angelo is born around 1708, twenty years before he marries.

Angelo marries Maria di Leo on 7 January 1728. His parents are living.^[2]

I estimate Onofrio is 20 years old (b. 1728) when he marries for the first time. He is named after his paternal grandfather.

Antonino marries Francesca di Leo on 22 November 1744. Giovanni and Giovanna have both died by this time, according to this record, but based on the 1748 and 1758 marriages of Onofrio, only their father has died.

Onofrio marries at least twice, first to Domenica Cimino, on 16 September 1748. Giovanni has died by this time.^[3]

Onofrio remarries ten years later, to Vincenza Bavuso, on 16 June 1758. Giovanna is still living at this time.^[4]
