Biography
There is no record of the birth of Ruth Todd in the early 1700s. She is named in her father's will probated in 1735 and in the will of her mother who died in 1741. Her mother's will identifies her as Ruth Dorsey. The marriage of Ruth Todd and Michael Dorsey, as well as the births of their nine children, is recorded in a Bible passed down in the Dorsey family.
