Biography
Elizabeth, born about 1778, was the daughter of Robert Todd and his wife Jane (possibly Carlin) [1] of Swanland, Yorkshire, the owners of Swanland Hall.[2] [3]She married Samuel Davenport of Wigston Magna (Great Wigston), Leicestershire, in 1800.[4] Samuel sold his property in Great Wigston and moved to Swanland, where the couple had three children: Jane, Henry and Eliza.[5][6][7]
