Biography

James Todd was born on the 02 Mar 1840, and baptised on the 29 Dec 1841, the son of James and Ann. ^[1]

In 1841, James Todd was living at Domains Park, Fylingdales, Whitby, Yorkshire, England in the household of his grandparents William and Ann Gray. Also in the household was his uncle William Grey, his mother Ann Todd, sister Elizabeth Mary Todd. There was also Thomas Tindale, Margaret Leonard and Thomas Heckter in the household. ^{[2] [3]}

In 1851, James was living with his parents James a Master Mariner and Ann Todd at Clarence Place, Ruswarp, Whitby, Yorkshire, England. Also in the household were his siblings James, William Neptune, Ann, Matthew and Eliza Mary. ^[4]

James has not been found in the 1861 census {checked 17th of August 2016}.

Maria Baxter the daughter of James Baxter married James Todd, the son of James Todd, on the 01 Feb 1866at Fylingdales. ^[5]

Maria and James appear to have had 1 child, namely James W. Todd in 1867.

Maria was a widow by the 1871 census meaning James must have died between 1867 and 1871, a burial for James has not been found in the Fylindales parish {checked 17th of August 2016}.
