Frederick's first child, daughter Elizabeth, was born 1815-1816 in North Carolina and he left a widow named Charity who reported in 1850[5] and 1860[6] that she was born in North Carolina around 1786-1790. There being no evidence yet of an earlier marriage, Charity is assumed to be the mother of all of Frederick's children. The second child, George was born in Alabama 1817-1818[7], dating the family's move there to some time between 1816 and 1818. Early newspapers [8] report letters at the Cahawba post office left for Charity; Cahawba is an older name for Bibb County. The earliest deed found so far is in Greene, 24 Feb 1835 from Stephen G. and Harriet Field for two plots of land in the Catawba District[9]; that's in Greene county and surrounding counties have yet to be searched.
