She was probably born in Rowan County, North Carolina, in the part that later became Davidson County.
She married John Blair on April 11, 1819. Both were from Quaker families, but they apparently married without permission, since she "condemned her marriage out of unity" on July 7, 1819. This is recorded at Springfield Monthly Meeting. They were the parents of 12 children, only one of whom died in childhood.
The Standard of Raleigh, July 9, 1862 DIED, -- After a brief illness of only eight hours, on the 30th of June, near Trinity College in Randolph County of paralysis, ELIZABETH BLAIR, consort of JOHN BLAIR, deceased, in the 67th year of her age. She was a consistent member of the Society of Friends, and beloved by all who knew her for her benevolence and disinterested kindness.[1]
She is buried at Springfield Friends Meeting Cemetery in High Point, Guilford County, NC.[2]
