In 1910, Joseph John McDonnell, a 28yo farmer b. Walla Walla, married Rose Tomkins, 26yo b. Falls City, NE. It was the first marriage for both. Joseph was the son of Joseph McDonnell and Alecia Nolan. Rose was the daughter of Charles A. Tompkins and Mary Farrell. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H.J. van den Venof WallaWalla, with Clement McDonnell and Clara Tompkins, both of Walla Walla, as witnesses.[3]
