2093. JONATHAN ⁵ [Torrey] , [2058] (Elizabeth ⁴ (Winslow) Torrey, James ³ , Job² , Kenelm ¹) born in Falmouth, Me. ; d. 20 Mar. 1802; was drowned six miles from Deer Isle, Me. He was a farmer and fisherman, and about 1762, settled in Deer Isle. He married Hepsey Eaton, dau. of Gen. Wm. and Ruth (Wardswell) of Old York, York Co., Me. She died 2 Nov. 1785, Deer Isle. He was married 2d, in that town, by Rev. Peter Powers, 29 Dec. 1785, to Mercy (Staples) Robertson, widow of Samuel Robertson, and dau. of John and Hannah (Kentch) of Swans Island, Me. She died 25 July, 1826. The dates of this family were copied by Mrs. Lavinia Saunders [2255] from the records of Swans Island, a post town in Blue Hill Bay, Hancock Co. , Me.
