Åke Henrikinpoika Tott. June 4, 1598 Finland, Lohja, Kirkniemi - July 15, 1640 Finland, Eurajoki, Lavila mansion. Finnish soldier, who became Field Marshal 1631. Tott was his cousin Swedish King Gustav II Adolf credit soldier. He was known as the Nordic Snow Plow. His soldiers were also Finnish and known as Hakkapeliitat. The name comes from the Finnish language a call made to rally "Hakkaa Päälle" - Beating On. They had a great military success in the 30 Years War.[1][2]
Åke married his first wife Sigrid Bielke June 3, 1628. Together they had three children.[3]
Åke married his second wife, Christina Brahe, October 7, 1638.[3]
