Charles and his brother Effingham were mentioned in his mother’s Will of 1711, where she was also described as Elizabeth Townley, widow of Colonel Richard.[1]
He died in 1756 and was buried in St John’s Church at Elizabeth, New Jersey, where his wife Abigail was later also laid to rest.
