Margaret (Townsend) Dalton's first name is from a Jan., 1791 deed. Her maiden name & birthplace is from research conducted by her gr.gr.grandson John A. Cuppett. Margaret died sometime after 1791 & before the 1800 census. She & James Dalton had 5 daughters: twins Sarah, wife of John Blackburn, & Catherine, wife of Mr. Dobson; Rachel Dalton; Margaret Dalton; & Mary, wife of John Rose.

Hi Carolyn,

There is a significant difference in the death date for Townsend-2237 shown at the top of the profile (1832), and the date in the biography text (1791-1800). If you have been unable to resolve the discrepancy through your research, you might consider asking for help in the G2G forum.

Thank you K Yager. I hadn't looked at Margaret (Townsend) Dalton's entry for a long time and I noticed that someone had confused two Margaret Townsends. I corrected the birthdate, marriage date, and death date.
