The parents of Eunice Townsend who married Asa Dutton were Robert Townsend and Ruth Sawtelle. This is demonstrated by the 1846 will of Robert Townsend of Meigis County, Ohio in which he leaves the bulk of his estate to his grandson D. T. (Daniel Townsend) Dutton.[1]
