William Anselm Townsend was baptised on 4 February 1815 in Llantwit-Juxta-Neath, Glamorganshire, Wales by parents William and Margaret. His father William was a Mariner. [1]
On 7 January 1845 William, aged 30 married widow Ann Harris, also 30 married in Bristol. William was an Accountant, his father William was a Merchant. Ann listed her father William Lewis as a Farmer. [2]
