Biography

1887 Birth According to a copy of her birth certificate, Daisy was born on the 23rd April 1887. [1] Rather amusingly, NZ BDM records her mother's name as Elina Jane Tozer. The Birth Certificate records father was 37 year old Frederick Francis Tozer, a Mason born in Devonshire, and mother was 35 year old Eliza Jane Osborne born in Kenn, Devon.

1921 Marriage On 30th August, 1921, Daisy married John Thomas Thompson King at St Mary's Church in Addington, Christchurch [2] A copy of the Marriage Certificate records that John was a 33 year old Joiner with father Thomas King, a Baker, and mother Elizabeth Thompson. Daisy was a 34 year old spinster whose father was Frederick Tozer, a Stone mason, and mother Eliza Jane Osborne. Witnesses were G A Graham, Compositor, E L Tozer, Electrician, and Queenie Tozer.

1936 Death Daisy died on the 8th September 1936 and is buried in the Sydenham Cemetery. [3] [4] [5] Daisy left a will [6] and her assets are listed on the probate document. Amongst them is a piano (which although not specifically detailed, ended up with her son Norman King) and a car valued at £100.

A copy of her Death Certificate suggests she died at home, 3 Howard Street.
