"She was the wife of William Blankenship. After Molly's death in childbirth, William remarried Mary Martha Riggins (1761–1807). They had one son, Isham Blankenship who was born and died with his mother in childbirth. William then married Anna Osborne (1792-1835), and their children were William Blankenship (1808–unk) and Barnett Blankenship (1811–1880)."
Research Notes
There is a memorial for Molly at Find-a-Grave that lists Molly's children along with dates and spouses; however, it doesn't give any indication where the information came from, and it doesn't give a burial location for Molly.[1]
Find a Grave erroneously names Molly's parents as Frederick and Lydia Trent. Frederick (born 1754) was too young to be Molly's father. Rather, he was Molly's brother. Frederick and his wife Lydia may have had a daughter named Molly, born in 1775, who is listed on an 1850 census record for Tazewell County, Virginia in the household of Presley and Ruth Blankenship.
