Biography
Jessie Eddins was born on June 17, 1839 in Cradley, Herefordshire England to George and Ann (Smith) Eddins. Her mother died when Jessie was two years old. She emigrated to the United States with her father and siblings. They farmed near Nauvoo, Illinois. Her father died in Omaha, Nebraska. Jessie was taken in by the John Ruston family, and emigrated to Utah in 1850.
