Abigail (Tripp) Thurston was born in New York.

Abigail, the daughter of Everett Tripp (1737-1854) and Mary E. Lawton (1745-1827) was born on 10 May 1785 at Easton, New York.

Note

Abigail's mother may have been Mary Jane Hoyt[1].

Marriage and Children

Abigail married John Thurston (1775-1853) in 1800 at Easton, New York. [2]They had eleven children:

  1. Betsy Thurston (b. 1801; d. 1870) m. Luke English (1791-1870)
  2. Milly Thurston (b. 1803; d. ) m.
  3. Arissa Thurston (b. 1805; d. 1901) m. at Barker, NY, Uriah Decker (1801-1879)

In 1850, Abigail was 69 years of age and living at Barker, Broome, New York. This census was taken shortly before she died.[3]

Death

Abigail E. (Tripp) Thurston died on 28 May 1851 in her 66th year at Barker, New York.[4]She is buried in Quaker Meeting House Cemetery at Flushing, Queens, New York.[5]
