Hi Timothy , and welcome to WikiTree!

You tagged your family in Ireland, Scotland and England. I wanted to let you know we have a great project that focuses on the UK here called United Kingdom Project It includes our Scottish Clans Project and links to our Irish Roots Project This would be a great places for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.

Thank you for joining WikiTree and good luck with your research.

Hi Timothy,

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.

Don't forget to ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.

In case you haven't seen it, our G2G Question of the week is:

What challenges have you had finding birth/marriage/death records and what helped you find them?

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

Have Fun!

Hi Timothy, Please edit your TAGS to show one surname per TAG. This is used to try and connect you to others searching for the same families. When this is done we will be glad to confirm you as a member, Jess

Hi Timothy,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email you’ll receive has helpful links to help get you started.

WikiTree is somewhat different from other genealogy websites you may have seen in that our goal is to have one profile per person, meaning we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer. Tell us why the tags you chose to add are important to you, and click the volunteer button. One of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Check out our Help Pages and feel free to ask a question on our G2G Forum if you get stuck.

Now go have some fun!

Hi, Steve!

I noticed you have no family or ancestor surnames listed as tag(s). Are you just interested in the locations, England, Ireland and Scotland or in doing genealogical research for family and ancestors ? I wanted to suggest that you add your tag(s) to show any surnames you are researching. When you list a surname in your tags, you can then click them and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those names, locations, etc.

You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.

Please let me know if you have any questions! :-)

Hello Timothy, and welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

Information on Tags can be found at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tags).

One of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership.

WikiTree is an exciting and growing community and we are really glad you decided to join us.
