George Washington Trowbridge was born on 21 February 1860[1] in Texas, USA. He was the son of Barlow Trowbridge and Adeline Matilda (Harkey) Trowbridge. He was the eldest child of 9 children. At age 5 months, he was in his parent's home in San Saba County, Texas.[2]
In the 1880 census George (age 20) was living in his parent's home, working on the Farm in Lampasas, Texas, USA. Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head of House: Son[3]
At age 21, He married Louise Ethleen Johnson (1865-1931) on November 4, 1881 in San Saba, San Saba County, Texas. They had at leas 9 children.
George (age 51) and Louise (age 45) lived on a Farm in Justice Precinct 5, McCullouch, Texas in 1910, with Bertie-24, Teague-19, Albert-13, Elbert Earl-9, and Nora Ray-4, in the home. [6]
He died at the age of 71, on June 18, 1931 in Brown County, Texas,[12] and was buried in the Varga Chapel Cemetery in Bowser, San Saba County, Texas.[1]
