The information in the 'Treman book' about Mary Shapley is correct when it states that she was born March 26, 1677 in New London, CT and died July or August 1719 also in New London. She was the daughter of Mary Pickett, who was the daughter of Ruth Brewster, who was the daughter of Jonathan Brewster, who was the son of Elder William Brewster who came to America on the Mayflower in 1620. It is also correct when it states that Mary Shapley married Joseph Truman December 5, 1701, who was the son of Joseph Truman who immigrated to New London, CT, where he was a constable in 1666. Mary Shapley died in 1719. She was the mother of all ten of Joseph Truman's children: 1. Mary, died in infancy 2. Mary, b. Oct. 2, 1702, m. Peter Harris 3. Elizabeth, b. Aug. 20, 1704, m.
