Clarissa was born about 1820, daughter of Benjamin Tryon and Mercy Stephens. She married Amos White and they had children:

Clarissa, a widow, died, aged 85, of "la grippe" (influenza), in 1905. According to her death certificate she had been married at the age of 17 and had given birth to nine children, six of whom were still living at the time of her death.[1]
