Noah was born in Glastonbury in 1787, the son of Elizur Tryon and Lucy Kilbourn.[1]
He married Elizabeth Goodrich in Glastonbury where they farmed. They had five children, according to the marriage record noted in the Glastonbury vital records.[2]
The 1860 census shows that he was living with his wife Elizabeth (not Fanny, see research points below).[3]
He died of "lung fever" in 1870, aged 83.[4][5][6]

Fifth I give and bequeath to the children of my daughter Ann Jemima late the wife of Joseph Wilcox of Cromwell, but now decd. Six hundred dollars to be paid them by my Executor in one year from my decease, either from the personal or real estate given him in this will.
Sixth I give, devise and bequeath to my son John E. Tryon and his heirs all the residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal of every name, nature, kind and description to be his and his heirs forever, he paying the legacies and debts as specified in this will.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth (26) day of December A. D. 1868.
There is at least one other Noah Tryon who was a contemporary of this Noah Tryon living in or near Glastonbury. The other Noah married a Fanny Smith in Glastonbury in 1805. However, the birth records of the children of this Noah, the evidence of the 1860 census and the fact that his wife Elizabeth outlived him, is named in his will and is buried with him and shares with him a monument in the graveyard points to the fact that Fanny Smith married a different Noah Tryon. The fact that Fanny Smith Tryon is buried near this Noah Tryon does not signify that she was his wife.
