Samuel was born 20 Sep 1656. the younger son of Peter Tryon and Judith Cullen[1]. He married Elizabeth Hoste on 24 Dec 1680 [2] and they had three children. Elizabeth died in 1895 and Samuel remarried to Christian Wynyeve [3]. They had four children. Samuel died 4 Feb and was buried 7 Feb 1711/2 [4]. His will was dated September 15, 1711/2 and was proved March 1, 1711/2. He is buried at Harringworth.
Inscription on the vault at St John the Baptist, Harringworth:
“In this Vault Lyes ye Bodies of PETER TRYON Esqr. Son of MOSES TRYON of Harringworth with IUDITH the Wife of the said PETER, and Sister to SR. ABRAHAM CULLEN of Sheen In the County of Surry Baronet -- IAMES TRYON of Bullwick in the County of Northampton Esqr and SAMUEL TRYON of Collyweston in the said County. were the two only Sons of the said PETER and IUDITH. And lye both here Interr’d with their Wives and such Issue as are Deceas’d.
The Said SAMUEL TRYON was the Youngest Son of the said PETER, and died on the fourth day of February Anno One Thousand Seaven Hundred and Eleaven And in the Fifty fifth Yeare of his Age. and left this Inscription written with his owne hand annex’t to his Will, By which he. order’d it should be plac’d up in this Manner.”

His birth record is indexed as a baptism but it clearly says "born". The church records have both types of records mixed.
