It is claimed in Tryon Family in America that this Elisha married Phoebe (Roberts) Clark, a widow, on April 17, 1805, place unknown.[2]
NOTE on First Marriage
The purported marriage date given in Tryon Family in America would mean Elisha had married at the age of just 16 years. His father, Elisha Sr., married a woman named Phoebe Roberts. Thus there is probably a confusion between father and son, and Phoebe Roberts was the step-mother of Elisha Jr.
Elisha Jr married Betsey (Elizabeth) Pike in 1814.[3]
He died in 1827.[4][5] He is buried in the Old Farm Hill Cemetery.
His son Elisha 7.30a so far (Nov. 2106) remains untraceable.
