Biography

Anna was born 31 May 1760, the second child, first daughter, of Abel Tryon and Lament Lindsey.[1] She was baptized on June 1, 1760 in Middletown.[2]. There is no documentation of her beyond her baptism.

"The Tryon Family in Ameria"

TFA states "ANNA or ANNER TRYON 5.75b, first daughter of Abel Tryon 4.29a and Lament (Lindsley) Tryon, was born at Middletown, Conn., May 31, 1760, and was baptized Anna Trion into the Middletown First church, June 1, 1760. As Anner Tryon, she married Solomon Crowell, at Middltown, Mar. 11, 1779." Since TFA is not documented, it is not know how Wes came to this conclusion that Anna and Anner are the same person other than she's about the right age. Anner is Anner Tryon in our records and born in 1758 in Sherman, CT, as Anna, daughter of James. She shows up in the will of James with the name Anner and these are the only two instances of an Anner Tryon in any known documentation.
