Research Notes

A series of original handwritten documents regarding Prudence Tryon's efforts to obtain husband Noah's bounty land to which he is entitled to for his 1791-1794 service in the Indian Wars were passed on to me, Profile Manager Michael Tryon. Most of them are attestations by his sons that Noah and Prudence were married but one of them is an attestation of his military service. "I Jeremiah Tryon (being duly sworn) do solemnly swear that my brother Noah Tryon entered into the United States service in the state of Connecticut in the month of July AD 1791 ..." This was signed 1 Jul 1846.

He lives in Vigo, Indiana, in 1830. The household consists of 1m<5, 2m5-9 (Jeremiah Jr is 10), 1m15-19, 1m20-29 (Russell?), 1m50-59; 1f<5, 1f5-9, 2f10-14 (Mary), 1f60-69. Joel Tryon lives adjacent.

He lives in Greene, Indiana, in 1840. The household consists of 1m10-14, 1m15-19, 1m20-29 (Jeremiah Jr), 1m60-69; 1f10-14, 1f60-69. Russell Tryon lives adjacent.

We are obviously still missing a few children: 1m-1826-1830, 1m-1821-1825, 1m-1811-1815, 1f-1826-1830, 1f-1821-1825, 1f-1816-1820.
