Biography

Emily was born in 1843, daughter of Rodolphus Tryon and Lavinia (Derby) Tryon. She married Dewitt Harris in 1862. They must have divorced after 1770 as she is listed as single and living with her parents in the 1880 census and he is living with his mother. She married second to Stephen Collar in 1883. In 1920 she is a widow and lives with her sister, Ellen Cooper, and family. She died, three weeks after the census enumeration, on 13 Feb 1920.

Her death certificate states her name, Emily L. Collar, parents' names, Rodolphus Tryon and Lovina Derby, husband's name, Stephen Collar, birth date of 25 Oct 1843, and death date of 13 Feb 1920. Informant was her nephew Verne Cooper.
