The children of Timothy and Roxanna Tryon were originally profiled here based on Wes Tryon's "The Tryon Family in America". Many errors and omissions have been found in that reference for this family. Lately, records of a series of land transcations of Timothy, his children, and grandchildren in York, LIvingston, NY, spanning 1838-1912 have been found [1]. They include all his male children except this William, suggesting he either never existed or he was no longer living when the transactions were occurring. This profile once mistakenly included census and other records for William Tryon, son of Richard and Betsey Tryon, and those have been removed.
TFA children of Timothy and Roxanna Tryon:
This list left out Timothy and Josiah. No records of William have been identified but William Tryon is very a very common name and some that are documented here are not attached to parents so he may still be identified. An analysis of the census records of his father in 1810 and 1820 have a child of the right age to be William and not any of the sibings. He is not in the 1830 census but he would be expected to be independent by then.
Based on the lack of any actual evidence for his existence, I've removed the linkage to his parents.
